2006 WSOP: Big WSOP Event Ends Today

When most poker players talk about winning the World Series of Poker, they are talking about winning the Main Event, a No-Limit Texas Holdem event where each player pays or, in the case of satellite winners and players with backers, has paid for them, a $10,000 buy in, creating a prize pool of Olympic proportions. There are other events, however, with as pricy or pricier tags, and Event 16 is one of them. The $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event may not be as popular, but it is as expensive as the Main Event, and plenty of pros like to try their hand at this one. Some pros play Omaha almost exclusively, so for them, this is the Main Event. Action resumes today at around 2pm.
