The second man versus machine poker challenge recently took place in Las Vegas between a team of poker pros and a computer program called the Polaris II. The first challenge was narrowly won by the humans, led by poker pro Phil Laak, but this time the machine got the upper hand. The game was Limit Holdem played heads up, and the program's tally was 3 wins, 2 losses and a tie. The program was created by a team from the University of Alberta.
