2006 WSOP: WSOP Rebuy Event to End Today

It was a scene that might remind one of the Hollywood depiction of the trading floor at the New York Stock Exchange: men and women waving fists full of paper, making declarations, buying and investing in a frenzy. It was not the stock market, however, but day one of Event 14, the $1,000 No-Limit Holdem event at the World Series of Poker, but with rebuys. As each player busted out, he or she had the option of buying right back in, paying a thousand dollars on the spot. This event, which is now converted to a regular, no-rebuy event will wrap today with a final winner.
