Midsummer Nights Dream Poker Event

An event put together by Bodog founder Calvin Ayre honored and paid tribute to Magic Johnson, and was titled "A Midsummer Nights Dream" poker Event. The event was held at the Avalon and Spider Club in Hollywood and hosted by Ayre, who oversaw the event that took place in what looked like a Las Vegas casino. The name of the game that night was Texas Hold 'em, and VIPS and NBA players and celebrities all mingled together to try and outplay and outbluff each other out of tournament chips. Ayre was heard to say that the blending of sports, celebrities and poker was a good thing. Coming up next, "A Midsummer Nights Glam Jam", a fusion of fashion and music at the House of Blues on Sunset.
