2006 WSOP: Rebuy Event Slows Down on Day 2 at WSOP

Yesterday was the start of Event 14, the $1,000 No-Limit Hold 'em with Rebuys event that fans of World Series of Poker have been waiting for. This event seems cheap on the outset, compared to the $1,500, $2,500 and $5,000 No-Limit events waiting in the wings, but when you are a player like Daniel Negreanu, it is anything but cheap. This year the player came prepared to make 30 rebuys, which is when a player can buy in a new set up chips for $1,000 if he loses his current stack. During the limited rebuy time yesterday there were 1,670 rebuys, putting the total prize pool at $2,317,887.
