Poker Law Draws Suit

Last year Washington State passed a law that made online poker gambling a Class C felony, putting it on the same level as a sex offender charge. Renton, WA attorney Lee Rousso Friday filed suit against the State alleging that the bill, SB 6613, is an unconstitutional law. Rousso says that the law was an attempt to protect the State's brick and mortar casinos. Rousso is a member of the Poker Players Alliance, and is the representative of that organization for Washington State. Rousso's goal is to see the bill voided and rendered unenforceable.
