Poker Computer Bots Compete Against Each Other

In the world of online poker one of the most feared opponents is the computer powered poker bot. The poker bot is a piece of software that is designed to constantly and without error analyze probabilities and make decisions based on the best poker strategies. The existence of poker bots roaming the average online poker room is a somewhat in doubt, but one group is purposefully pitting poker bots against each other. At the American Association for Artificial Intelligence they are holding their first Computer Poker Competition in upcoming annual conference. Groups from various universities will be building computer poker players to compete in a Texas Holdem tournament to determine not only which poker bot is the best, but learn what they can about the process of artificial intelligence.
