2006 WSOP: Seven-Card Stud Ends at WSOP Friday

Event number 10 will wrap up today at the Rio All-Suite Hotel Casino as the first Seven-Card Stud event at this year's World Series of Poker. Following a first day that took the action into the wee hours of the morning on Day Two, the second day wrapped up at a respectable hour, between 8 and 9pm, and the final eight players are decided for today's final table. They are (along with their chip counts): John Hoang, 170,000; David Williams, 142,000; Ivan Swertzer, 118,500; Jack Duncan, 106,000; Miami John Cernuto, 86,000; Michael Ledis, 43,500; Matt Hawrilenko, 32,000; Johnny Chan, 26,500.  With big name No-Limit stars at the table, including the second place finisher in the Main Event of 2004, David Williams, and two times WSOP champion Johnny Chan, it promises to be an exciting event.
