2006 WSOP: Double Bubble Burst at WSOP

By launchpoker, Jul 5, 2006

In Event 7 at the 2006 World Series of Poker, two ladies managed a move that could be considred lucky or unlucky, depending on how you look at it. In the $3,000 No-Limit Texas Hold 'em event players put up three grand of their own money to compete, and at the very least wanted to finish "in the money," as not all places have cash prizes. In poker tournaments if you finish one position before you land in the money, that is called being "on the bubble" or "bubbeling out." For Sarah Bilney and Michele Lewis, each busted out on the bubble when they both lost their all-in hands at the same time. This meant that instead of one getting money and one getting nothing, they split the $3,436 in prize money that came with a 45th place finish.
