2006 WSOP: First Seven-Card Stud WSOP Event Begins Today

If you are like most poker fans, then you know all about Texas Hold 'em. In what may be a reversal of circumstances, many of today's poker players know more about Hold 'em than they do about some older and, formerly, more popular styles of poker, including Seven-Card Stud. The stud event of the World Series of Poker stats today at noon in the tournament hall of the Rio All-Suite Hotel Casino, and players in Event 10 of the 2006 WSOP are putting up $1,500 of their own money to try for a championship bracelet and a big payday. This event will run for three days, wrapping up on Friday. The roster is still being filled out, but fans of many poker pros will likely see them flexing their poker muscles in this event.
