Phil Hellmuth Misses 12th WSOP Victory Opportunity

The world leader in World Series of Poker bracelets made a run at pulling even further ahead of his closest competitors but came up short by two spots. Phil Hellmuth, owner of 11 WSOP bracelets, nearly got his 12th during Day Three of Event 51, $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. Instead he managed a nice third place position, and $93k that likely means little to the poker superstar in comparison to the prestige another WSOP bracelet would have meant. In the end Phil was beat by 2nd place finisher Tommy Hang and the winner, James Schaaf.
