Texas Holdem poker has become one of the hottest poker games in the world, and many charity events have benefited from its popularity. In Hastings last week players from all around joined the crowd to play for a good cause in a No Limit Holdem event. The American Red Cross was the beneficiary of the event, hailed as a "fresh idea" by Director of Marketing Shannon Hannappel. Over 100 players joined in to compete in the first time event, which Hannappel called "something new" compared to previous ideas, such as holding a charity dinner event.
