One of the "old school" poker players recently lost his fight with cancer and passed away on June 28th. A personal friend of poker pro and world champion Phil Hellmuth, John Bonetti was remembered recently in Hellmuth's blog. Bonetti started playing poker at the age of 55 and came on strong in the event, winning many top honors and giving many poker pros, such as TJ Cloutier, a run for their money. Hellmuth's blog entry honored John "Bono" Bonetti's memory and mentioned that the pro will dedicate a win to Bonetti this year at the currently running World Series of Poker.
