In many parts of the United States of America poker clubs and personal residences have been raided by law enforcement officials over the last year, with arrests being made and funds and gambling equipment being seized over sometimes murky interpretation of gambling law as it relates to poker. In Spain, however, a particular poker game was raided and arrests were made, but not over gambling law but rather a property scandal to the tune of three million euros. Bribery, cronyism and embezzlement are the crimes listed as thirty people were arrested at a poker game in a Spanish hunting lodge.
