Online poker has been the crutch that many anti gambling outfits have leaned on in support of their position, but a recent study performed by Harvard Medical School's Division of Addictions may have taken it away. The majority of online gamblers' behavior has been categorized by the study as "moderate" and found that there is no inherent propensity to cause excessive gambling as previously supposed. The study is called "Assessing the Playing Field: A Prospective Longitudinal Study of Internet Sports Gambling Behavior," and was conducted in conjunction with Bwin, an online sporting site.
