2006 WSOP: Black Leading 2006 WSOP Tournament of Champions

The World Series of Poker is open to anyone who can afford to pay the price of poker, in the form of a buy in, or who can get sponsorship by winning a seat into the WSOP. This makes it ideal for dreams come true, but some feel it muddies the waters for the pros and their fans - which is what the WSOP Tournament of Champions is all about. An invitational event with a $2,000,000 prize pool and 27 players is always a hotly anticipated event. With last year's winner Joe Hachem and the rest of the final table playing, along with a ton of other stars of poker, it is an exciting event. One of the final table finishers last year, Irishman and Buddhist monk Andrew Black, ended the first day of the event as the chip leader, with 94,175 chips.
