Poker Pro Becomes Maxim Girl

In the early days of the WSOP probably the last thought running through the minds of Puggy Pearson, Benny Binion, Johnny Moss and Doyle Brunson was "Poker needs a Cover Girl," but it looks like that day has come. While the beautiful people, both men and women, seem to be flying in the face of the "you don't need a pretty face to be a poker champion" concept for some time now, it was only in recent years that poker pros seem to have erased any dividing line between poker and the rest of the world. Gus Hansen has been named one of the world's 50 beautiful people by one popular magazine, and Clonie Gowen is soon to be honored in a different way by another. Maxim Magazine will have a WSOP insert in their July issue featuring the former beauty pageant winner as one of the sexiest women of poker.
