The Fort Sill Apache Tribe of Okalahoma held a poker event at their southern New Mexico casino, but the goal of the tournament was more than just offering poker players a chance to do what they love best. The event was held as a way to force a decision on the legality of gambling in the area, according to reports. The invitation only tournament offered up a $10,000 prize, and the casino says they will continue to hold tournaments every week, actually hoping the National Indian Gambling Commission will use this as a reason to shut them down. This would open the door for a law suit.
