When ten players were informed they were not going to Vegas after all, it threatened to dash the dreams of poker players everywhere. These players won packages including entry to the World Series of Poker this year, and were planning on a trip to Vegas, but were informed by email that they wouldn't be going. The site that was to sponsor their trip, Checkandraise.com, informed the winners there was not enough cash flow to cover the costs.
When the story was heard by folks at Poker.com, they acted right away to offer to pay the tab for these ten players, keeping the dreams alive. Both Poker.com and Checkandraise.com are part of the Ongame poker network. The story is still developing, but the offer from Poker.com would seem to settle the matter - one way or another, those players will get to go to Vegas after all.
