National Poker League Doing Well

There were those who said the timing of the National Poker League was way off. Being held at the same time as the World Poker Tour's Mandalay Bay event, there was some worry that with so many people signing up to play at the popular WPT event, there would be too few left to make the NPL a good show. It turns out those worries were unfounded, as hundreds of players signed up to play in the $1,000 events of the NPL.Held in the opulent poker room at Caesars Palace Casino, the NPL Vegas Open kicked off on Saturday and will wrap up with event number ten today. Friday, June 16th, will start the series of Heads-Up finals to determine who will walk away with the biggest cash prizes from the NPL event.
