Poker has always had a place in Hollywood, whether it be for the big screen or the small screen, and with its current level of hip popularity, especially among the celebrity crowd, it is no wonder a new paramedic drama decided to kick off their season with a poker game. The show, Saved, starts at a poker table where the main character plays in a game he probably shouldn't, as viewers discover when they learn there are gambling problems to contend with.
Fights with other players, with the parents, with the old girlfriend, and the occasional medical emergency to take care of take up the rest of the nearly hour long premier show, but the poker table in the beginning nicely sets the mood.
