Date Set for Man vs Poker Machine

Last time it was pro player Phil "The Unabomber" Laak and Ali Eslami taking on Polaris, the poker playing Artificial Intelligence machine. This time it will be a group of online poker pros taking on Polaris 2, created by University of Alberta's Computer Poker Research Group in order to explore the possibilities of AI advancement in direct competition with humans. The involvement of a luck factor makes the competition more challenging: last time the humans won but it was a close match. This year's event will take place at the 2008 Gaming Life Expo at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on July 3-6.
