New Attendance Record Set at WSOP

Recently the World Series of Poker announced their busiest day ever when 3,010 players filled the halls and poker room of the Rio, and now they are announcing a new attendance record set with their Ladies World Poker Championship event. This event, held at the WSOP every year since 1977, drew 1,286 entrants, topping the previous record of last year of 1,128. These numbers created a prize pool of $1,170,260, also a new record, as is the first place prize, $262,077. Last year's Ladies World Poker Championship champion was Mary Jones.
