WSOP Record Breaking Day

June 9th was the busiest day in World Series of Poker history, according to a recent announcement by WSOP owners Harrah's Entertainment. Last year the Main Event drew over eight thousand players, and to handle the rush they were broken up into four flights on four separate days. Each day 2,200 players sat down to play, but on June 9th there were 3,010. This was a combination of 2,628 people for the $1,500 No Limit Holdem event and the 382 for the $2,500 H.O.R.S.E event. Players have had to endure playing in the "poker pavilion", an outdoor tent, due to the overflow.
