If there was any doubt about Poker's longevity, the new deal between Harrah's Entertainment and ESPN should put those rumbles to rest. Harrah's, the world's largest casino and hotel operator and owner of the World Series of Poker, signed a deal extending ESPN's coverage of the World Series of Poker through 2010.
In addition to the normal show, which is edited and broadcast after the fact, ESPN will now offer a live pay-per-view telecast of the final table play at the Main Event of the World Series of Poker. Going into this year ESPN is in their ninth year of covering the World Series of Poker.
