The first ever All-Japan Poker Championship was held this year, and the winner not only got the honor of being the first ever champ, but also a chance to become a champion for a second time by competing in the 38th annual World Series of Poker event in July at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Kunihiro Sakamoto, who bested a field of more than 2,000 players to claim his win, benefits from the fact that the All-Japan Poker Championship is official satellite of the World Series of Poker.
