The Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) had a few questions for online poker room Doyles Room and the very popular poker TV show, the World Poker Tour when Doyles Room founder Doyle Brunson made a $700 million offer to buy the WPT last year. The offer came out of the blue, and the stock for the publicly traded WPT jumped up by almost 50 percent, prompting the SEC investigation. Recently it was announced that the SEC has dropped their investigation into insider trading/dealing with Doyles Room and WPT. The deal between the two companies had fallen apart shortly after the offer was made.
