The first week of the 39th annual World Series of Poker will have to go on without one of the star players. Poker pro Annie Duke has had to sit out the opening events due to an injury sustained while running. Duke, who has become something of a long distance runner, explained on her blog that she felt pain while running and had it checked out. It turns out she has a fractured pelvic bone, broken in three places, and will miss much of the WSOP before she can take part.
