WSOP Starts Today

The World Series of Poker starts today in Las Vegas, the 39th annual run of the event that brings poker players from around the world together to see who is the best, and who can walk away with the most cash. Last year the winner was Jerry Yang, a California psychologist and father of six who won millions in the main event. Today the first event is a $10k "championship" event, Pot Limit Holdem, which will likely run for three days. There is a lot of buzz about the improvements made to the Rio, where the events will be held, most notably arrangements for shorter lines and less wait time.
