In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the citizens would like to have more notice of new video poker truck stop openings than a small blurb in a local newspaper. Now that a Senate Bill 611 has been approved, there are one step closer to the getting a wish. The senators' Bill, which it being sent to the full House for final approval before becoming law, was approved by the House Criminal Justice Committee and will require more public posting when it comes to opening video poker establishments.The committee unanimously approved the Bill with a 3 to 7 vote, with those opposed saying that the issue should be controlled with a local ordinance.
