European Ladies Poker Champ Liv Boeree

The latest champ in European poker is one Liv Boeree, representing online poker room Absolute Poker, who won the $2,000 buy in Ladbrokes Poker European Ladies Championship. She was up against some tough female competition, including the first ever World Series of Poker Europe champion Annette Obrestad among others. The European Ladies Championship took place in London and offered Liv a thirty thousand dollar first prize as well as a seat in the 2008 World Series of Poker main event this summer in Las Vegas. While she had previously stated that she saw no need for ladies only poker, she had a wonderful time at this event.
