The man they call Back to Back because of his consecutive victories at a past World Series of Poker event has won the first ever Kentucky Derby Poker Championship, but the big winner was the charity. Layne Flack won first prize, $13k in cash and a seat in the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event, and three charities will split the proceeds from the tournament, which totaled $60k. The three charities are the Health and Climate Foundation, the Robby Albarado Foundation and the Red Cross/Red Crescent Climate Centre. Second place went to Jan Karl.
