The former host of Celebrity Poker Showdown, Phil Gordon, always used to say that good poker players consider bets into a pot as investments into their hands, and that sometimes they needed to protect their investments. There are a lot of parallels that could be drawn between investing and gambling, and another Phil has drawn another one when he put his money into a nutritional supplement company recently.
Phil Hellmuth, who coincidentally will be replacing Phil Gordon as the host of Celebrity Poker Showdown, recently bought shares in Applied Health Solutions, Inc, a nutritional supplement company that produces products for older populations.
President of Applied Health Solutions, Bill Evans, said that Phil honors them with his recognition of their commitment to excellence, and congratulated him on his vision in investing in their company.
