Online Poker Qualifiers Hot in Europe As Well

For the last few years the best way to get into a big time pro poker tournament event was via an online qualifier. By winning a special event a poker champion hopeful could get into a $10,000 event free, and recently a spate of similar qualifying events have launched for the European Championship.Sponsored by Everest Poker, the Everest Poker European Championship, which will be held in Italy, is a series of free live and online poker events for amateurs, kicking off May 6th.The final event will be held at the Casino de Barcelona on 9 September 2006, which will be offering a €50,000 prize pool. There will be live qualifiers offered in Cagliari, Torino and Milano. In addition free poker tournaments will be held in six other countries.
