Poker players are persistent in breaking the law in New York as yet another underground illegal poker game is shut down by the police this past weekend. In Long Island, NY, police officials arrested the poker game organizer, a 29 year old who was picked up at the William Paca Lodge. Some 10,000 in cash was seized as well as a surveillance system and poker chips and poker tables. The location was supposedly the site of nightly poker tournaments with as many as 35 players. The arrested man will face charges of promoting gambling. The charge is considered a misdemeanor.
