Online Poker Room Promises More Money to WSOP Champ

By launchpoker, May 3, 2006

Last year was another record breaker for the World Series of Poker, with the new champion, Joe Hachem, taking home $7.5 million (tax free, thanks to a loophole in Australian law.) This year promises an even bigger jackpot, likely $10 million, and one online poker room wants to add $2 million on top of that.

If this year's WSOP Champion qualified for the event through PrestoPoker.com's daily WSOP satellites, then PrestoPoker will fork over $2 million in icing for the cake. The poker room is trying to recruit the best of the best to qualify via their site, and garner a bit of publicity in the meanwhile. The daily satellites are a big draw, as is multilingual support and supposedly loose action.
