The Ballarat City Council Down Under recently approved the transfer of poker machines from one establishment to another. The city council had rejected a similar play five months ago, but have now relented in moving the five poker devices from The George Hotel to the Ballarat Leagues Club. The decision made by the councilers seemed to be dependant upon one condition, that the poker machine operator Tattersalls agreed to remove an additional machine from The George Hotel. While Tattersalls has agreed to transfer the additional machine to the Ballarat Leagues Club, it may yet not happen, as the final approval for the transfer will have to come from Victorian Commission for Gaming.Ballarat has more than 200 poker machines above the state average.
