The World Poker Tour has been responsible for creating many poker pros, and for feeding existing pros a lot of money, but a group of seven were so upset about the WPT's release form's language that they took them to court two years ago. Chris Ferguson, Andrew Bloch, Annie Duke, Phil Gordon, Howard Lederer, Greg Raymer, and Joe Hachem took issue about the way the WPT could use their images and so refused to sign, and thus were not allowed to play in the events. Raymer and Hachem later relented but the first five kept up the pressure. Recently the WPT, while not admitting to any wrong doing, reworded the release forms in a way that Chris Ferguson said is a win for all poker players.
