No New Poker Machines for Queensland

A full stop on video poker machines is the solution put forth from the Queensland Government as the answer to reducing problem gambling. For the next two years no new poker machines will find their ways to pubs and clubs in the area, which already has more poker machines per citizen than anywhere else in Australia. This will stop approximately two thousand poker machines that were already on their way to clubs and pubs. The freeze will have an impact on those clubs expecting machines that will never show up.
