Court Date Moved for Washington Online Poker Case

Washington State is the only state in the United States where online poker playing is counted as a felony, a law that puts poker players in the same class as sex offenders and one that many are seeking to change. Lee Rousso, the regional director for the Poker Players Alliance and recent gubernatorial candidate, is leading the charge and has let it be known that the next court date addressing the issue has been moved to May 15. His case will challenge whether or not the 2006 Washington law in question is constitutional or not. The lawsuit was filed on day one of the 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event.
