The Palms casino seems to be a popular place for poker television taping. A few days after wrapping up the second season of High Stakes Poker, the Palms was the location of another poker TV show. The Intercontinental Poker Championship is holding its first ever event at the Palms. The IPC is a No Limit Texas Hold'em event boasting a $500,000 prize for the winner -- and nothing for second place or worse.21 different countries are represented by 21 intercontinental players, including Tony G. for Australia, Johnny Chan for China, Sammy Farha for Lebanon, Daniel Negreanu for Canada, Gus Hansen for Denmark, and Doyle Brunson for the United States. The show will air in the summer on Saturday, June 17 on CBS.
