Online Poker Room Sells Pope's Car

Pope Benedict XVI has people to drive him where he needs to go, but he used to drive himself around in a Volkswagen Golf. The Golf, owned after the Pope by student Benjamin Halbe, 23, was sold to online poker room Golden Palace via an eBay auction for £90,000. The car, which has not been driven since the sale in 2005 and only has around 46,000 miles, was recently sold via a charity auction hosted by Golden Palace to raise money for their chosen charity, Habitat for Humanity. The auction raised more than £100,000.
