The first games have yet to get underway and the newly formed Latin American Poker Tour has already decided on a name change. It isn't a whim that is prompting the name change, however, but an expansion of venues. The tour, which was set up to play in a number of South American countries, has expanded to include North America as well. As such the new name will be the "Poker Tour of the Americas" (PTA). Puerto Rico, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica were already on the list of stops, but now the US and Canada will be included as well.
