No Online Poker for Holland Casino

Holland Casino wanted to provide the Netherlands with online gaming, but it looks like that particular service is not in the cards. The Dutch Parliament voted down the bill that would have given Holland Casino a monopoly on the idea, although it was voted down by only two votes. A year or more has been put into the Holland Casino offering, which was set to be done in partnership with software provider CryptoLogic. This vote by the upper house of the Dutch Parliament may have been influenced by the warning the European Commission (EC) gave Holland in February regarding protectionist practices against foreign gambling operators.
