Woman's Poker UK Open Comes to Close

A new professional poker player was born recently when recruitment company manger Teresa Doherty took third place and eight thousand pounds in her first major poker event, the Woman's Poker UK Open, recently held in London. Introduced to online poker by her pals last year Doherty dove into the game, falling in love with poker. The 48 year old obviously picked up quite a few skills, as evidenced by her recent win. She has decided to give professional poker playing a try.

Third place was a good place for a first major poker outing, but Doherty would have liked to finish better. Her competitive nature had her shooting for the win. Taking place in a women only tournament was a great experience for her, as well as playing in person, as her normal mode of play is online.
