Soccer Meets Poker in Football & Legends Cup

Sponsored by online poker room PartyPoker, the Football & Legends Cup began its live televised tournament in London on April 3rd. Teams comprised of professional poker players and soccer players represented sixteen countries and all were competing for the lion's share of the $395,000 prize pool. The three man teams held two pro poker players and one soccer player.Representing poker players world wide were Mike Sexton and Kenna Jones for Team USA, Gus Hansen for Denmark, and Daniel Negreanu and Evelyn Ng for Team Canada. Teams from Scotland, Northern Ireland and Russia are already out of the running. The grand finally for the Football & Legends Cup will be held on April 6th. Air times for US showings have not yet been announced.
