Canadian Poker and Canadian Whiskey

By launchpoker, Apr 1, 2006

Gavin Smith, a Canadian professional poker player, has recently signed an endorsement deal with Canadian whiskey brand Black Velvet Canadian Whiskey. Gavin is not the first professional poker player to sign a deal with a liquor company as 2003 World Series of Poker champion Chris Moneymaker has already signed with Canadian Club whiskey. The fact that professional poker players are still being sought for endorsement deals puts the lie to the rumors that the poker fever has been cured.

Gavin will be playing in a poker tournament against a lucky contest winner in a Black Velvet Canadian Whiskey sponsored event. The winner of the events will get an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas in order to face Gavin Smith in a heads up poker showdown.
