Swedish police, in a move similar to what happened in Ireland last week, broke up a major poker tournament in Grebbestad. The European Poker Challenge 2007 was set to go as around 700 poker fans had gathered over the weekend to play, but soon they had to find something else to do when the police shut it down. According to Swedish authorities the event was an unauthorized poker tournament being held for profit, which is considered illegal in Sweden. The two men who have been tapped as the organizers of the event will face charges, which could lead to four years in jail.
