Poker Spam Campaign Works

It is nice to know that civic leaders still listen to the people. In an unusual case a city council and county leaders have been flooded with electronic pleas to reopen a case closed two years ago. The case involves the establishment of a poker room at the Sarasota Kennel Club. Starting on March 8th the emails began, and soon the public figures had their virtual hands full juggling the requests. A special spam filter had to be created to try and divert the flood from inboxes to trash cans, but by the time the filter was implemented, it was a moot point. The leaders have agreed to reconsider the poker room case. More than 500 email messages were sent, and officials say they hear from poker fans many times every day.
