There are plenty of changes in the works for Bravo network's favorite poker son, Celebrity Poker Showdown. The co-host and resident giant Phil Gordon recently announced he would no longer be associated with the show, now that his contract has come to an end, leaving Celebrity Poker Showdown without a poker expert to give advice and commentary to the stars at the table. The show will have its very own Phil, however, with nine time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth taking over the role.
In addition to the switch hitter, the show will now be donating the charity money it is known for to outfits working with the victims of Hurricane Katrina. To top off the changes in the show, the location has been moved from the Palms in Las Vegas to a Harrah's Entertainment casino in New Orleans.
